Information we collect

We collect account information you provide, including your name, email address, authentication credentials, CV content, template preferences, and billing-related account identifiers. The Chrome extension stores your authentication token and basic account details locally in Chrome so that you remain signed in.

The extension runs only on the supported job sites listed in its Chrome Web Store listing. When you deliberately select **Tailor my CV**, it reads the job title, company, location, page URL, and job-description text from the job page you are viewing and sends the information needed to perform that request to AIRESUME.FIT. It does not collect your general browsing history or monitor unrelated websites. If you request support for another website, it sends only that website's origin, such as `https://example.com/`, after you press the request button.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate your account, store and edit your CV, tailor a CV to a selected job description, generate previews and PDFs, manage credits and subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

AI processing

CV content and extracted job-description text are sent to OpenAI when necessary to produce the AI-assisted edits you request. Do not submit information you are not authorised to process. AI output should be reviewed before use.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan status, usage limits, and billing periods; we do not store full payment-card details.

Data sharing

We share information only as necessary to operate the product: Vercel provides application hosting, MongoDB provides database storage, OpenAI processes AI tailoring requests, Resend delivers account email, Stripe processes subscriptions, and Google provides optional Google sign-in. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or transfer it to data brokers.

AIRESUME.FIT's use and transfer of information received through Chrome extension APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use extension data only to provide or improve the user-facing CV-tailoring features described to you. We do not permit humans to read that data except with your explicit consent for support, when required for security or law, or after it has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.

Retention and security

Authentication data stored by the extension remains in Chrome until you sign out, remove the extension, or clear extension storage. Account and CV information is retained while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform. You may request deletion as described below. Personal and sensitive information is transmitted using HTTPS, and access is restricted to authorised systems and service providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may update CV content in your dashboard and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable legal requirements.
